After months of conceptual preparation, the "TRUE STRIKE" installation at Salone del Mobile in Milan became a reality in Hall 15. The booth, designed by architect Michael Vincent Uy (Studio MVUY), successfully translated the vision of stone as an "architectural statement" into a physical experience that resonated deeply with the international design community.
A Dialogue Between Matter and Space: The Vision of Michael Vincent Uy
True to its concept, the exhibition space served as a spatial reflection on gravity and material truth. To translate Bagnara’s essence into architecture, Michael Vincent Uy created a curated environment where a deep red atmosphere—reminiscent of the Earth's interior—contrasted with the ethereal brilliance of the stone.
The installation’s central theme—an artistic reinterpretation of a bowling lane—was much more than a playful reference. Uy used this metaphor to visualize the "strike" as a moment of absolute precision and impact, redefining how natural stone is perceived: not as a static, decorative surface, but as a dynamic, geological force. Through this conceptual approach, the architect managed to showcase the stone's raw power while maintaining a sophisticated, contemporary aesthetic.
Extraordinary Resonance: Stella Alpina in the Spotlight
One of the most significant highlights of the exhibition was the exceptional feedback regarding Stella Alpina. This 100% quartz crystal, extracted from Italian peaks, fascinated architects and designers alike with its unrivaled translucency and extreme durability.
